Deepak Mawandia

 

 

 

Totally convinced that India is going to become a major player in the evolving international market for Carbon credits, Deepak has over 8 years experience behind him, most of it in Corporate Finance (Mergers & Acquisitions). Having worked with Lodha Capital Markets (a JV with Banque Paribas), he has been involved and responsible for structuring some of the most challenging M&A  transactions in India.

In 2001, with a view to gain international exposure and experience, Deepak joined INSEAD, France for his MBA degree, where he majored in Finance & Strategy. Since INSEAD (MBA/DEC '01) he has spent a year in Geneva, working as the Interim CFO & Business Development Manager for a technology company.

 

Looking for a challenge, this January he quit his job in Geneva and decided to start a Consultancy in Calcutta. Abacus Consultants Private Limited. Deepak has superior financial structuring, project formulation, conceptualisation and strategic planning skills and is committed to promoting CDM as a profitable route to a green and clean (and profitable) business model.
